Husham is one of the major contributors on the KODI/XBMC community and his build could not have passed unobserved. The install process is very easy with the dedicated wizard and the build is blazing fast and one of the most complete builds I have ever experienced!

Install Husham Build on Kodi:

  1. Select from the submenu under SYSTEM, FILE MANAGER
  2. Double click on ADD SOURCE
  3. Enter http://repo.husham.com and click DONE
  4. Enter a name for the source, let’s say Husham and click Done and then OK
  5. Go to HOME and select SYSTEM
  6. Select ADDONS
  7. Select INSTALL FROM ZIP
  8. Select the red icon labeled Husham
  9. Select plugin.video.hushamaddonwizard.zip
  10. Once it is installed go to HOME
  11. Select PROGRAM ADDONS
  12. Select HUSHAM ADDON WIZARD
  13. Select HUSHAM BUILD 0.8.5 and wait for it to download and extract
  14. When finished click on OK and unplug the external device from power or click YES, FORCE CLOSE if on windows.
  15. Restart KODI and have fun with your new BUILD!

This is an add-on for those geeky types like me that just can’t resist knowing stuff they don’t need to.

TED is a small nonprofit devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. It started out (in 1984) as a conference bringing together people from three worlds: Technology, Entertainment, Design. Since then its scope has become ever broader.

This is add-on is available from the official Kodi Repository which is pre-installed on your device.

Open your Kodi and navigate to System.

Step 8 Return to Home Screen, select Videos and then Cooking on Youtube Volume 1 and start creating some great looking recipes.

Today we are going to show you how to install a new repository that has arisen in the community which hosts some great add-ons for everyone to enjoy.

STEP 1. Highlight system.

 

STEP 2. Tab down and choose File manager.

 

STEP 3. Scroll down and select Add source.

 

STEP 4. Type the following and press done.

 

STEP 5. Make sure the repo is named Legends and hit ok.

 

STEP 6. Head back to your home-screen and select system.

 

STEP 7. Tab down and choose Add-ons.

 

STEP 8. Now select Install from zip file.

 

STEP 9. Select the Legends folder.

 

STEP 10. Drop down and choose the Legends zip file.

 

STEP 11. Now  tab up and select Get add-ons, once selected you’ll now see Legends repo installed on your device at the top. go ahead and select it.

 

STEP 12. Hit Video Add-ons.

 

STEP 13. You now have access to all the add-ons that are hosted within this repo. All that you need to do now is select and install what you want.

Great news for the community, ABC family programs are now available via a new Kodi add-on that has just been released!

As you can see from the screenshot below, the new ABC Family Channel has all of the great TV shows and episodes from the official channel.

Simply select the TV show you want to watch….

And boom! Your watching it in glorious 1080p HD resolution.

Surf fans……seems like you’ve finally got your own Kodi add-on, welcome World Surf League Championship for Kodi.

As you can see from the screenshot below , this new surf add-on covers all the major tournaments and also has a live section. Let’s start with the live section, this currently doesn’t work and looks to be a ‘future’ upgrade for this add-on.

All the tournaments available to watch on this new add-on are in HD and are mainly scrapped from YouTube.

Great news for UK Kodi users, at last we have the official BBC iPlayer on the official Kodi repository. You may of seen in the past that you could install the BBC iPlayer from the Xuntiy 3rd part repository but it’s great to see if finally and officially released by Kodi.

I don’t think we need to go into too much detail regarding the BBC iPlayer add-on as we all know what it’s about, but for those of you that have lived under a rock for the last 7 years, the BBC iPlayer is a online platform where you can watch Live TV and Catchup of missed TV shows along with other features, but mainly those 2 things.

For me personally it’s a god send and I can’t live without it as I’m forever missing shows ont he BBC network and also I use it to watch live TV in HD.

If your in the UK, we highly suggest you having the BBC iPlayer on your setup, you’ll be surprised how reliant you become using it.

An immediate improvement

Having ditched Apple TV2 which was becoming increasingly buggy I went in at the cheap end of the market just to test the water and plumped for the Amazon Fire TV Stick. For £35 I reckoned if it all went wrong then I haven’t lost much, and I could still use the stick as an (albeit far inferior) media player for things like Netflix and iPlayer.

Again, following a little time spent YouTubing I managed to install Kodi 15.0 and off I went in search of addons. Again, Fusion was my starting point and I also learned how to install one off addons by using File Manager and Install From Zip File. It wasn’t long before I had built up a good number of reliable addons to my collection from the likes of SALTS, Vdubt25 and UK Turks.

The difference between the Apple and the Amazon was instantly obvious. Where there was lag on every button press with Apple, the Fire Stick was much sharper. What I had previously put down to broadband capabilities was actually the functionality of the Apple TV. I was massively impressed with my cheap and cheerful set up and it worked a treat.

It was then that I started telling a small number of mates about my new found toy and the requests came flooding in. To date I have done around 20 set ups and each time have tinkered with different builds, skins and addons tailored to each person. For a while I found Isengard 15.0 wasn’t great, so I reverted to using Helix 14.2 (which I still have running on my main device) and this has proved to be very reliable. I now have 15.2 running on my other devices and to be fair, this has been stable since day one too.

I have to say there are some great builds out there and some very talented people giving up a lot of time and effort – they are the people that keep this whole project going. For me though, I must admit I find Confluence skin the easiest to navigate and the clutter free layout (once you have stripped away anything unnecessary) is still my favourite. Using ADBFire I managed to push jpegs and other files onto the Fire Stick to personalise the skin, and now I wouldn’t use any other.
